Pastor Carl Dunlap

Pastor Dunlap is originally from Tallulah, Louisiana but made Houston his home after growing up in both the Fifth Ward and Northwood manor communities.

He accepted the call to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday morning in 1991 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Houston whose pastor was Rev. Larry D. Leonard, Sr. Since the initial call of God Pastor Dunlap has been involved in the preaching, teaching and praise & worship ministries at various churches in the Greater Houston area.

For many years he led a monthly men’s fellowship with the focus on men striving to be the priest, provider and protector of their families.

A ministry that brings so much joy to this servant of God is his involvement with area senior assisted living facilities. He has faithfully ministered at Houston Nursing and Rehabilitation Center (formerly Canterbury Villa) for more than 18 years and at Park Manor in Humble, Texas for 7 years.

Pastor Dunlap is a 1979 graduate of M. B. Smiley High School and a 1985 Graduate of the University of Houston where he became a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity in the Spring of 1982.

Pastor Dunlap and his wife Sherry are the proud parents of four children; Carl II, Cobrey, Jared and Kyla.
